

Dr Leon Clark (MBBS, FRANZCOG, FRCOG) joined Sydney Adventist Hospital as Medical Executive Officer in 1991, was appointed CEO in 2002 and Group CEO of Adventist HealthCare from 2012 until his retirement in 2015. Leon served on the San Foundation board as Chairman from 2005 to 2008, and again from 2011 to 2017.
A former Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, during his career Dr Clark has held high profile roles with the Australian Private Hospitals Association and The Fertility Society of Australia. He currently serves on the boards of several other not-for-profit organisations including the Clinical Excellence Commission, Agency for Clinical Innovation and Medi-Aid Centre Foundation Limited. Awarded a Paul Harris Fellow and Sapphire Pin by the Rotary Club of Wahroonga, Dr Clark is known for his passionate advocacy of quality health care.
Building on work begun by the pioneers who first opened the Sydney Sanitarium in 1903 and following his parents, who trained at the San as nurses, Dr Clark has been a driving force in continuing the vision of providing state-of-the-art facilities, attracting world class practitioners, and delivering best quality health care.
